Michael Melcher is one of America’s leading executive coaches and is an expert on leadership and career development. He is currently a partner at Next Step Partners, a firm based in New York and San Francisco. He is also the host of the podcast, “Meanwhile: A Podcast to Improve Your Life.” He previously held positions in business, law and the U.S. Foreign Service. His clients have included Google, Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, Cleary Gottlieb, Doctors Without Borders, Ford Foundation, Population Services International, National Resources Defense Council, and many others.
He is the author of two books: The Creative Lawyer, which is a self-coaching book for lawyers, and The Student Body, a novel about a prostitution ring at Harvard that he co-authored with three friends under the pen name “Jane Harvard.” He is currently completing his third book, 20 Minutes a Day: The New Approach to Achieving Career Satisfaction and Success. He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Fortune, as well as in several books on career development.
